Dr. Demers collaborates with Bexar County
area psychiatrists, psychologist, clinicians, and church leaders (non-profit resources) to help Mission City clients with the best possible psychotherapy and life management outcomes. Dr. Demers holds degrees in Pastoral Counseling, PhD., Psychology, Theology, and Business. With over 20 years of counseling experience in combined disciplines of Holistic, Cognitive, Dialectical, Behavioral, Marriage, Depression, and Mental Health. Dr. Demers specializes in Applied Behavioral Analysis. He regularly holds community Health & Wellness educational events to promote healthy life management skills in the home and work place. Dr. Demers is the founder and CEO of the IFWI - International Faith & Wellness Institute and is a Research Fellow with the Southwest Institute for the Behavioral Sciences.
Gary has traveled extensively throughout the continental U.S., Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, and has visited over 27 countries abroad. Dr. Demers has assisted nonprofit organizations with resource and marketing development; strengthening their core mission and values. He has received many awards and honors for his community based contributions and served in the US Navy. Gary is also a Notable Writer member.
"Mission City is very fortunate and thankful to provide professional counseling services through an innovative Membership Subscription program. We are privately funded through a network of generous supporters who provide funding to aid individuals and families who otherwise cannot afford professional counseling. A normal charge for our services would run $140 hour, but through our monthly membership program we are able to keep In-Home Counseling fees at a minimum. This affords our clients to receive several benefits of which include, Continuity of care; Long-term psychotherapy; 24x7 Direct counseling connect; Resource management; and much more, and all without the hassle of Insurance provider limitations."
